ABOUT
What’s my story?
I’ve been a financial services journalist and editor for well over 20 years. After studying overseas, I graduated with an economics degree at Yokohama National University, in Japan, and have been writing articles and editing publications ever since I returned to Australia.
Before becoming a freelance writer, I worked for The Australian Financial Review at Fairfax Media, editing and writing for a personal finance magazine. During my time at Fairfax, I wrote features on a diverse range of topics, including the state of the real-estate market, the best health insurance funds on offer and how to find a financial planner. I regularly interviewed CEOs of large financial institutions and superannuation funds and developed a network of contacts I continue to use today. I am based in Katoomba in the Blue Mountains and visit Sydney regularly.
